Cafe users parking on grass verges, blocking sight at pedestrian crossing

Reported in the Car parking category anonymously at 20:52, Saturday 30 March 2019

Sent to Horsham District Council 3 minutes later

I constantly see vehicles, usually vans, parked on the grass verge outside the Olive Tree cafe, presumably too lazy or self important to use the large designed car park 30 seconds away. There are repeat offenders, surely the cafe has a duty to discourage this? Not only is it insightly and is damaging the grass, I had a near miss with my toddler when crossing the road because the van was blocking my line of sight

Updates

  • Upon seeing the lazy slob of a Neanderthal parking on the grass for the third time in a week I called the cafe and was abruptly told if I want to speak to the driver I’d be welcome to come in myself. Despite me informing them that he creates a danger to children at the pedestrian crossing by blocking everybody’s view. It happens every day and they don’t care so long as people keep buying their overpriced, deep fried gruel
