There are arrangements within the borough’s green spaces and parks for regular dog walkers to dispose of their dog’s waste in dedicated waste bins which are emptied on a frequent basis (e.g. daily or every-other-day). Where there is specific provision for segregated waste it must be disposed of using a controlled carrier using the appropriate disposal stream. I can confirm that there is currently no provision for such bins on public footways.
Enforcing against dog fouling is extremely difficult as we have to catch the offender 'in the act' so to speak. Signs can deter but are often ignored by those irresponsible enough to let their dogs foul the pavements. If you are able to provide us with any information regarding specific locations, breed of dog, timings of offences or any other information that would be most helpful.
Thank you for your report. NM. 21.03.19.
