Water pours out of manhole and floods down drive with every rainfaill

Reported anonymously at 17:54, Monday 18 March 2019

Sent to Cornwall Council 1 minute later

There is a manhole cover in the road that has a vertical jet of water coming out of it with every heavy rainfall., It pours down the drive and has to be diverted with sandbags into a French drain to avoid flooding the property. This has been going on for some time but Cormac advised me when they came to fix the proud manhole cover that the Council had run out of money and would not look at it until the next financial year. The water floods the courtyard and continually endangers flooding the house

  • I have been reporting this for some years. I was told that it would be fixed in the new financial year because the Council had run out of money. Today it has poured with rain and we have again had to deploy sandbags in the drive to stop the house and courtyard from flooding. Vulnerable adults live there.
