200 metres of uneven road with intermittent potholes

Reported in the Potholes category anonymously at 20:14, Monday 11 March 2019

Sent to Highways England 10 minutes later

Lots of potholes on the motorway from Bolton to Horwich and towards Chorley. Some very deep, some quite long (over a metre) and quite deep. My motorcycle is difficultvto ride at 70mph so reduce to 40mph so S not to be thrown off the bike when in the holes or ruts.

  • This problem is becoming worse and should not be reliant upon the public to highlight it. This job should be done through highways inspectors and local authority engineers having to check the road condition then fixing it. There is enough money in the pot to justify this method but, as ever, the LA is claiming austerity measures are restricting their performance. Enough is enough, they are putting people's lives at risk. The "pot" is being "raped and pillaged" by other services and so we just end up with a much bigger problem.

  • Pot holes now filled and in reasonable condition. Not perfect but now safer condition.
