Skip parked on the Road

Reported anonymously at 16:11, Mon 11 March 2019

Sent to Leeds City Council 4 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1568493.

A skip has been parked on the road outside 226 Stainbeck Road; does it need a permit/permission to obstruct the highway?

Updates

  • I 'escalate' this by way of a complaint. The skip is still on the road and I'm none the wiser whether it needs a permit or similar to be on the public highway. I got an email acknowledging the escalation but nothing further received.

  • Leeds City Council departments do not it seems talk to each other. Apparently a permit expired 31st March 2019 and the skip is still there and no one seems capable of telling me whether the permit has been renewed. I have flagged this up with the Local Government Ombudsman but frankly it's a lot of work to progress this matter. The LCC are useless.

  • LCC are almost 100% useless in this regard. They just can't be bothered; had the skip been near a Councillor's home I'm sure the response would be better.

  • LCC were no help at all!
