Continuous flooding of road
Reported via Android in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 11:52, Mon 11 March 2019
Sent to Essex County Council 3 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1568033.
Why has this problem been lifted as for many years this situation causes major!!!! problems for pedestrians trying to cross the road. This morning for example parents with young children trying to cross the flooded road - do they cross where it is not flooded which means crossing amongst moving traffic Or cross through the flood and possibly get sodden by the traffic going through the water. This water has been there all weekend so if certain people are saying it drains of in a few hours they want look for themselves. It's not only school children who us this crossing but alot of the general public shopping at Sainsburys plus with a massive retirement home been built just across the road it will be used even more. Plus why, why hasn't the protective railings been repaired which again has been like it for many years after a traffic accident. Hope you will be held responsible if a major accident occurs at this area - ECC get a grip and make this area SAFE!!!.

What about somebody NOW going and see how dangerous it is - with children and there parents trying to cross the road in between moving traffic as one can't use the crossing as it is flooded.

It's raining again and the children and parents are having a difficulty crossing the road amongst the traffic as they can't us the pedestrian crossing as its flooded. It's even difficult to operate the crossing button on island due to damaged crash barriers which have been like it for years. But ECC don't seem to worry - they will when there is a accident.

Well it has rained recently but one can guarantee it will when it does as nobody has been on site plus the railings are still all bent and twisted . NO IMPROVEMENT !!!!!

It's been raining today and road is flooded once more. What is the use of reporting these faults and nothing gets done - not even looked at

It's raining and guess what - yes the road is flooded and watching parents with their children crossing the road amongst the traffic is so dangerous. Perhaps someone from ECC could come and see for themselves when children are coming out of school to see how dangerous it is. Do there children use this crossing - I doubt otherwise something would get done and perhaps the safety railings will get repaired.

What's the point asking for this to be rectified - it's been like it for years and it's a wonder nobody has been seriously injured but who cares ECC don't. Plus crash barrier STILL not repaired. Disgusting!!!

Only just reported yet again after weekend rain - luckily children are on holiday so it saves the poor parents trying to cross the flooded road. Perhaps???? it will get sorted out of term time and ready for them to return ready for the winter term. Come on ECC get cracking and repair the "safety" railings whilst your at it. It's a joke "safety" railings.
