Twelve months or reporting this litter accumulation have achieved no result. The state of this shrubbery area between Derby Road and Brintons Road is a public disgrace which is caused by local people dumping their rubbish wherever it takes their fancy. See my further report about furniture being dumped nearby. The stretch between the railway bridge and Brintons Road is a filthy mess and the Council should be ashamed that it has made no attempt to contact the Land Registry to force the landowners to clear the sites which are not owned by the Council. Local councillors and MP's have been contacted to no avail.

  • The Council has been unable to find out who owns the shrubberies affected and states that it cannot afford to pay for the hours needed to clean up this location. It acknowledges that there is a local problem here with persons unknown who dump their rubbish wherever they feel. This location is a disgrace to our city and it is a shame that the local residents here are doing nothing to help the situation.
