Rosewell Close (north west) street name plate missing, jct Oakfield Rd, Penge

A development about 5 years ago. There is a SNP on the SW corner but one is needed on the NE corner for drivers / delivery vans / emergency services etc approaching from the other side. There is no evidence in the footway of one ever being installed. Most other culs-de-sacs on the main road have SNPs on both corners

  • I am dissatisfied and disagree with your response and intended inaction. You say that you 'do not feel an additional Street Name Plate is required' when I have stated that: 'one is needed on the NE corner for drivers / delivery vans / emergency services etc approaching from the other side' What is it about my reasoning that you disagree with? All other roads have SNP's on both sides so that vehicles approaching from either direction can read the road name plate in good time and without passing the road and doing a U-turn or attempting to read the name in a mirror, by which time they have gone past an intended turning. As I state, this may reduce emergency response time by valuable seconds eg. ambulance attending heart attack etc. Do Rosewell Close residents not deserve the same service afforded to other roads and residents? In this case, because the plate is free-standing on a grass verge, you could even save money and affix the name plate only to the rear of the existing structure. Please reconsider your response to my reasonable request. Thank you..
