Blue-lidded wheelie bin and contents dumped along canal

Reported in the Flytipping category anonymously at 13:27, Tue 26 February 2019

Sent to Coventry City Council 3 minutes later

On the patch of green by Bridge 3 where the 'rope' artwork sculpture is someone has dumped a blue-lidded wheelie bin(!) and what appear to be its contents! Please can this be removed and maybe can the Council look into installing some cameras on/near the billboards to see who is doing this flytipping on a regular basis? It is unacceptable and goes against efforts by decent people trying to pick litter and keep the canal area safe and clean for the wildlife and for towpath users and even narrowboats. If some smart alec dumps the bin in the canal itself it will cause damage to anyone passing in a boat not to mention the fish or whatever other beings are in the water. Thank you kindly.

  • Bin has been removed - contents left! Canoe Society did a litter pick on Sunday and some of the towpath pickers cleared some but were unable to take it all :(
