Parking on pavements

As previously reported contractors from the adjacent building site and others visitors to the area are parking their vehicles on the pavements at the bottom of Waterhead Close, a residential area. This has the result that residents with prams or young children have to walk on the road to get around these obstacles putting them in danger of oncoming traffic. A solution to stop this problem would be to erect a sign stating “Parking on this Close Is For Residents Only” and to paint a single yellow line along side the pavement with parking restricted to evenings only thus allowing residents to park here if the need arises and when their children no longer need to use the pavements.
