Dust on surfaces near bus stops causing breathing (respiratory) problems.

Reported in the Street cleaning category anonymously at 20:05, Friday 15 February 2019

Sent to Royal Borough of Greenwich 4 minutes later

The district has the worst DUST air quality levels in Great Britain (dust: PM 2.5, PM 10). Source: World Air Quality Index, 2019.

Road Network pavement/footpath area surfaces must be wiped clean of DUST every month. This includes pavement-side walls, sign-posts, commercial signs, tree leaves (broad-leaf), etc.

Otherwise, dust will drift up into PEDESTRIANS (including Bus Network users) lungs from these surfaces on warm air currents duing daytime hours.

WORKERS will under-perform and be under-productive as a result of unnecessary breathing (respiratory) problems.

  • Why has this been closed with ‘no further action’...? This is a health and safety issue and RBoG owe a duty of care to its residents.
