Potholes and trenches in speed ramps on Vicarage Road

Reported via iOS in the Potholes category anonymously at 17:29, Wednesday 13 February 2019

Sent to Hertfordshire County Council less than a minute later

The trenches and potholes in the speed ramps along the stretch of Vicarage Road between Hagden Lane and Scammels Way pose a danger to pedestrians (including children from 3 local schools and Mothers with babies) trying to cross the road and walking in their vacinity. Cars are struggling to maintain control over them in adverse weather conditions, which I have witnessed. Your previous reply, highlighting your attempt to pass the buck (rather that attend the scene & fix the issue) to other authorities on the pretext that the complaint was addressing a private estate (It was not), will be kept as evidence and passed along to solicitors in the event of any incident possibly caused by the state of the road surface. How bad this road surface is can’t be judged from behind a desk! So stop with the excuses and get out here.
