Along this roughly half a kilometer stretch of Croydon road the road is marked for dual lanes in both directions however the inside lane is occupied by parked cars for the entire length. The parked cars take up just over half of the width of the inside lane. The issue is there is not actually enough room for 2 lanes of traffic even though the road markings are for 2 lanes. This stretch of dual carriage way starts and finishes as one lane in both directions. We have constant issues of road rage and loud car horns at all hours of the day and night as cars are bottlenecked together when they try to drive in two lanes. However, the biggiest issue is once we are parked on the inside lane it is a "Russian roullete" situation trying to get out of the parked car as traffic comes around the sweeping blind bend trying to drive on the inside lane. The traffic passes dangerously close to the parked cars and we have had many close calls with cars almost hitting us as we open the driverside doors . The attached photos illustrates the parked marking bays occupying much of the inside lane just after a pedestrian crossing point where cars are able to pull up side-by-side in two lanes at the lights before immediately being squeezed back int 1.5 lanes for the remainder of the dual carriage stretch of the road. Within the last 9 months one car has flipped onto it's roof after clipping parked cars and glancing into the central reservation
