Dangerous shingle

Reported via iOS in the Roads/Highways category anonymously at 11:26, Saturday 9 February 2019

Sent to Lewisham Borough Council 3 minutes later

The developers of the new development have poured tons of shingle on their sideroad but it now spilling out onto the footpath making it dangerous and also pouring onto the road.

Will the council please advise to clean up their mess and consider putting tarmac down instead as we can’t have shingle all over public pavements and roads. Sloppy development.

Thank you very much

  • The shingle keeps spilling out onto the footpath despite the council sweeping it bank. The developer of these beautiful expensive flats just needs to spend a few pounds to put something more suitable down eg tarmac thk you

  • This is still an ongoing problem and the landowner should really be prosecuted

  • This is still a real problem for local residents, making it dangerous for prams, pushchairs and wheelchairs to pass safely.

Please could the council ask the developer to either remove all the stones or find a better way to restrict them to his land. It's a hazard for vulnerable people that needs addressing before someone is hurt.

    Thank you
