Dear Sir/Duchess/etc,
I read your complaint a few days ago, and was so struck by the imagery and the line "you choose" that I did precisely that. I ran a poll* on my twitter account @fixmygallery for people to choose whether this was an existential statement or just plain ol lazy people. You will see from the attached photo that the verdict, 59% vs 41% weighed in favour of it being recognised as an existential statement. I hope now that the matter has been resolved this will bring you some comfort, and peace of mind.

...back by popular demand of our local taxi drivers, this art installation is slowly returning from the south bank.....only another week or so before this is fully restored.....

Please keep us updated with new photos! I’m sure my Twitter followers (who voted it was an existential statement) would be interested to see any developments with its restoration. If you add new photos I’d be happy to tweet them at East Hertfordshire council’s account to see if they’ll surround the art in plastic shielding, like a newfound Banksy.

BACK BY TAXI DEMAND......
Yes...after its successful showing in the Tate modern, this contemporary statement on the decline of our society is back in Hertford for the foreseeable future...go and see this before it is once again moved to another arts centre in a bin near you....
