Bollards at junction with A143 and A1061 on Haverhill Road at Little Wratting.

Reported in the Road traffic signs category by Ann Williams at 21:11, Thursday 24 January 2019

Sent to Suffolk County Council 4 minutes later

Lights in the three sets of Bollards in middle of road at A143 /A1061 junction on Haverhill Road, Little Wratting are not working and the bollards are mud splattered and difficult to see in the road. A vehicle could very easily collide with them, particularly at night when they become virtually invisible. I have reported to Highways who say it will be several months until this can be dealt with. I think this needs to be rectified promptly before a road traffic accident occurs.

Updates

  • One of a pair of the bollards is now laying down in the road as, presumably, it has been hit by a vehicle. Hoping nothing more serious occurs before the lights are working and the bollards are cleaned so that then they will be visible to oncoming traffic.
