Incident ref no 1520792 (name and address not requested by Council). Whilst walking through Wayside Green on the evening of 16.04.19, in the darkness, I tripped and fell badly in this hole, seriously injuring my knee and ankle and requiring medical intervention and X-rays for suspected fractures. I remain unable to weight-bear or drive. The incident was reported to SODC on 17.04.19. On further visit to the location on 19.04.19, the hole remains unmarked and without warning signs. Since this subsidence appears to have been initially notified to the Council on 22.01.19, some 3 months ago, with no action taken, it is little short of negligence. I consider that the Council should take responsibility for my injuries (litigation-worthy) and potential injury to others. Further areas of damaged road-surface and edges in Behoes Lane and pavements in Beech Lane were also reported to the Council and remain unmarked. I still await the Council's response.
