Icy conditions not treated i.e. no grit or salt.

This morning, my car was written off due to icy conditions leading me to lose control of my car, thus landing in a ditch. There was no grit or salt to tackle the ice and on a normal day, my car would have been fine. I am now left with the costs to my car, even though I was driving at a safe 23mph. I use this route daily and have never experienced issues before. Had it not been for the poor conditions, my car would still be fine.
