The majority of Hamilton Lane is only wide enough for one car to pass through at one time. In recent months I have had a few near misses with other cars that fly in from the Cleveland Street end of the lane and drive too fast down there without being able to properly see cars trying to pull out of the car park for Camhs or the residential car park that is opposite, or indeed other cars travelling down from the Price Street end.
I have also had incidents here where I have been crawling down Hamilton Lane trying to pull out onto Cleveland Street but because it is such a tight entrance people just swing in off the main road without considering another car may be there, and they then have to slam on to stop which is dangerous when there's other traffic around on the main road.
I wanted to suggest this road be reviewed and potentially made a one way street to minimise the risk of accident this road being the way it is causes. I think making it one way would be sensible seen as the majority of the road can only allow one car past at once anyway. If this is not possible I wonder if speed bumps could be put down the road to stop people zooming down there at full speed. I am just really concerned that I have had a number of near misses with other cars down there and I know from neighbours here that I'm not the only one and I would share for there to be am accident.
