Overgrown hedges, shrubs and buildup of leaves

Reported in the Pavements/footpaths category anonymously at 22:56, Saturday 19 January 2019

Sent to Edinburgh City Council 4 minutes later

The pavement along the westbound side of South Gyle broadway adjoining with the business park at Redheughs Rigg, has deteriorated over time as a result of shrubs, hedges and plantings taking over the pavement. Walking along this pavement has become dangerous as over a foot of the pavement has now been eaten up by plants leaves on soil. Pedestrians must walk along this pavement very close to the fast moving carriageway, which poses a danger and must step onto the road in order to allow someone to pass in the opposite direction. Please can this be assessed for remedial work. Also, segments of the path are extremely uneven and should someone lose their footing, they would likely fall directly onto oncoming traffic.
