Obstruction caused by bicyles

Reported in the Pavements/footpaths category anonymously at 10:28, Wednesday 16 January 2019

Sent to Edinburgh City Council 1 minute later

The bicycles parked outside the Black Medicine Café are causing an obstruction on an already very narrow pavement space and should be removed. They are parked there on these stands beside these over-large and far too many bins outside the coffee shop all day from early morning. You can barely squeeze past them!

Updates

  • The engineer has been out to see what the complaint is and he has said there is enough room for the public to pass, even in single file. This area of pavement is owned apparently by the coffee shop on the corner and nothing can be done about this, but I would like to see these bike racks moved to the other side of the street which is a lot less busy.
