Street lamp out

Reported in the Street lighting category anonymously at 10:31, Wednesday 16 January 2019

Sent to Edinburgh City Council 3 minutes later

The street lamp opposite the Kama Sutra has been out for some days now. This street is already very dark, especially on the side of the above restaurant where there are no street lamps.

  • These lights are important as they are the only lights on one side of the street all the way down Drummond Street. They are already quite dim, so any being out for any length of time could cause an accident. The other side of the road is very dark and busy, even in the evenings.

  • Still a problem for local residents - at a recent housing meeting a request was made to the housing management team to get this light fixed and to get lights installed all the way down Drummond Street to the Pleasance as soon as possible, especially given the unsavoury characters hanging around this street dealing drugs and committing break-ins.
