Multiple pot holes and broken road surface
Reported in the Carriageway defect category anonymously at 22:06, Tue 15 January 2019
Sent to East Sussex County Council 3 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1514501.
The road surface is completely broken and potted in a number of areas before, after and to the side of the speed bump. This section has been patched before to a very poor standard as the jagged holes and cracks have again appeared and have been in this state for many weeks. Cars could crack an axle, particularly if they were to hit one of the cracks badly, but a person would break a leg a cyclist clipping one badly injured or killed. A 4-5 meter section needs to be removed completely and properly re-surfaced, along with the dangerous and inapparopriately positioned speed bump (or yellow lines introduced if it stays and the white line of the driveway removed) to stop cars from being forced to swerve in to the other lane. This really is a serious injury waiting to happen and a dreadful and short lived earlier ‘repair’.

One small patch in one of the holes, nothing else as yet taken care of. Presume the schedule to attend to the whole stretch is a long one!
