Building debris on Westway westbound carriageway for 300-500m from start of elevated section

Reported in the Rubbish (refuse and recycling) category anonymously at 10:26, Tuesday 15 January 2019

Sent to Westminster City Council 3 minutes later

There is rubbish and various bits of builders/building debris across the width of the hard shoulder. This is very dangerous to drivers safety as if a vehicle drivers over the debris it could be whipped up by a tyre into another vehicle. Some of the bits are large and look heavy and could cause significant damage and injury or worse.

The hard shoulder of the eastbound carriageway is clean with no rubbish or debris.

All carriageways should be clean and free of debris and any other dangerous item threatening vehicle & driver safety.

Please arrange for the westbound Westway carriageway to be surveyed and cleaned.

  • Rubbish is building up again and this looks like an on-going problem with people throwing rubbish out of their car and items falling off the back of vans & trucks.
