The road closure on Main Road in Lower Quinton

The road closure on Main Road in both directions has lead to alternative routes being used by traffic - this includes bus routes, school and nursery traffic. The alternative routes are not fit for this purpose. They are generally single track roads for example Tailor’s Lane and Back Lane.

The road has only been closed since Monday and already there has been at least one serious accident. The road is set to be closed for 5 weeks in total and my fear is that if something isnt done to change this, the number of accidents will increase.
