Main road closure in Lower Quinton

Reported in the Road works problem category anonymously at 20:36, Friday 11 January 2019

Sent to Warwickshire County Council 4 minutes later

The road closure in Lower Quinton is causing far too many problems. The diversions in place are not safe. This has been proven this evening after an accident happening just 5 days into the month long closure. The roads we are to use to get into Quinton are not fit for the volume of traffic that it is getting and I fear there will be further accidents if this diversion stays in place. Whilst it’s great that the footpath is being widened, why on earth does it require the road to be closed. Why can’t we have traffic lights like we usually get when roadworks take place? Even if this lengthens the whole process, surely that’s better than forcing people to use roads that are unsuitable and unsafe.
