(inch wide RUT crossing roundabout at junction with Manor Royal and gatwick Road

Reported in the Potholes category by Paul Kirkham at 09:21, Friday 11 January 2019

Sent to West Sussex County Council 4 minutes later

The Pothole has been there since the completion of Roadwork's in November 2018. It is deep and causes cars to jump as they go round the roundabout. This is dangerous as drivers undertake cars on this roundabout and I have witnessed many, many closs shaves where cars undertaking nearly get sideswiped as the cars in the correct lane jump around the roundabout

Updates

  • The above report says "inch wide rut" that is not correct the rut is more than a tyres width its about 12 to 15 inches wide and is still causing accidents again just today I had a near miss but the car behind me was hit.

    Still open, via questionnaire

  • This wide rut is a daily hazard to all road users including motorcycles. With all the recent alterations and upgrades to the roundabout and resurface work, it is a disgrace the council and contractors responsible did not ensure this was included. “Please get it done”
