Traffic Congestion in Road

Reported in the Roads/highways category by Ian Wright at 17:47, Thursday 10 January 2019

Sent to Kingston upon Thames Borough Council 3 minutes later

I've seen that the section of King's Road between Kingston Gate and Park Road gets very congested due to two-way traffic movement being restricted by on-street parked cars.

This causes difficulties for road users in and around this section of road.

I had an idea that the situation could be improved if this road were to be made one-way. To help keep traffic flowing, both this road and New Road could be turned into one way streets, each flowing in the opposite direction. This would make it easy for residents to reach their homes and prevent too much traffic congestion on both these roads.

I've attached a map where I have drawn in green arrows to show the idea I had.

Kind regards,

Ian
