Uneven paving slabs down the whole road I tripped on them outside my house 44 Ernest gardens

Reported in the Pavements/footpaths category anonymously at 11:40, Sunday 6 January 2019

Sent to Hounslow Borough Council 5 minutes later

If you look at number 44 Ernest Gardens to the left the fourth paving slab to the left from the gate is lifted by at least 1 inch resulting in me tripping and falling injuring my hand jar in my back and my neck yesterday. I have an independent witness who is able to verify that I fell and injured myself as she was there at the time I did it. I have reported these uneven paving slabs on my road before and the council have come to inspect them and lay tarmac where they were .this is not a solution in a conservation area we done need tarmac on our pavements , it’s a cheap option and not ‘in keeping’ with a conservation area. It needs to be addressed, We need our road repaid it is dangerous. I’m going to look into this further because it’s actually causind me bodily harm. Please address this immediately and we need our pavement repacking not patching up!

  • Council workers came looked at it and left a big plastic barricade and said they would escalate the issue. One month later barricade still there and issue still not fixed . So now we have the barricade sitting in the middle of the public walkway! Most annoying!!!

  • Council removed barricade, paint sprayed the area but original uneven pavement slab problem still not fixed 2 months later!!! Still a health and safety issue but council don’t seemed interested at all.

  • Issue remains the same with no action taken by yourselves. Pavement remains a health and safety issue from at least numbers 44-47.
