Cracking tar surface within a year of it being newly redone

Haysford Park Drive was very recently re-surfaced and I have noticed in a short time, cracks have appeared in many places and the painted lines have chipped off too. The cracks seem to be in a pattern of every few meters from one side of the pavement to the other.

The asphalt surface was laid over the existing concrete base, and cracks are expected to appear during the early life of all such roads road above the expansion joints in the concrete. No action is required at this stage.

The carriageway in Hayesford Park Drive was inspected and noted cracks appeared along line of concrete joints and now instructed the contractor to check and take appropriate action.
