Collapsed road edge on dangerous approach to bridge

Reported in the Potholes category anonymously at 20:15, Wed 2 January 2019

Sent to Hampshire County Council 5 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1501070.

The southbound traffic on this road has always had to contend with potholes and subsidence on the left hand side as it approached the bridge over the Avon water.

Updates

  • The edge of the road is ill defined and muddy and blends into a huge rut which is now much bigger than it was when first reported. Any vehicle which gets pushed over and into this by oncoming traffic isn’t coming out of the ditch and will possibly impact with the bridge.
