Bedding and heaps of rubbish all dumped along land next to houses

Reported in the Flytipping category anonymously at 12:59, Tuesday 1 January 2019

Sent to Coventry City Council 1 minute later

On the wasteland on Stoney Stanton Road next to the billboards opposite Bryn Road there has been bedding, mattresses, duvets, etc. as well as bottles, cans, plastic rubbish all dumped. Please can this be cleared up and perhaps the Council could invest in some CCTV on the billboards as this is a hotspot for flytipping, the Council could make a lot of money fining people who think this behaviour is acceptable when not only is it an eyesore but extremely detrimental to the environment. Nature and wildlife have to put up with this privileged human behaviour and they have done nothing to deserve it. The least we can do is learn to share the space and contribute to creating a nice environment the way they all do. We could learn a lot from nature and the animal kingdom instead of acting so superior all the time. People need to be taught this flytipping is unacceptable and foul. Thank you kindly.

Updates

  • The residents who litter here are continuing to disrespect themselves and the area and littering their own gardens and the verge of the canal :( There is CCTV but the Council don't appear to be reprimanding anyone - either that or they are recommending they continue to litter!
