Reported in the Bridge category by Customer Services at 13:09, Mon 31 December 2018
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 4116373.
The metal bridge fendering has recently been hit by huge cargo ships on their way to Wisbech port. This has happened 'twice' in the last three weeks, the last time being Boxing Day at 20.45pm.
In the forty years I have lived by the bridge I have never known the metal fendering to be hit by shipping which of course also causes huge vibration.
I would welcome a reply to this email and an officer from LCC to visit the site.
Something really needs to be done asap.
