I counted 12 clumps of dog faeces whilst walking to and from school yesterday down Cottam Avenue and Whitby Avenue and had dog poo on my pram!!! As a result I took the car today which defeats the object of being healthy, reducing the risk of diabetes on kids and reducing the carbon footprint. This has obviously been going on for some time as the rain has washed some away and I suspect it's the same dog as the faeces is the same colour indicating it eats the same food daily. I also notice that there are no signs up against dog fouling. Maybe consider a temporary CCTV camera and/or put CCTV signs up to catch/deter them. I feel really strongly about this and don't see why my kids should have to start their dog off with dog poo on their shoes for simply wanting to be healthy and walk to school. The walk isn't an enjoyable one either because my head is constantly looking down ready to shout to them to dodge the poo!! Please take action and please get this sorted!! Thanks!!

Don't think you need photos. A visit to Cottam Avenue and Whitby Avenue would be much better so you can see for yourself!!

Updates

  • I haven't heard anything back from them however there is work being done to improve the pavements. I'm not sure if this is in response to my email or just a coincidence.
