Street Lights not Working at Junction There are 2 or 3 Street lights on the left as you approach the traffic lights at Longford Park that haven't been working now for 10+ months
Thank you for bringing this to our attention, unfortunately the unit(s) you are referring to are not owned/maintained/adopted by Oxfordshire County Council, these are private lights that would be the responsibility of the developer/landowner whom you would need to contact direct.
Unfortunately we do not keep records of private units. Please accept our apologies as we cannot assist any further on this occasion.

Surely as a council you must be able to contact them to fix these as they are on the main road and a busy Junction and not been working for a long time!

Your message has been passed onto the Road Agreements Team. The street lights are private and owned by the developer. We will make contact and pass on your message and concerns to them.

As above, 1 month ago you stated you will contact the developer and advise them of the 3 street lights that have not worked for 10+ months. Nothings has happened...! These lights still don’t work! Whilst I understand you my not as yet have adopted the developers works and taken control of the lights, this is a very busy junction especially in the evening rush hour. Just before Christmas the traffic lights failed. These were fixed the same night by Western Power. The developer doesn’t care about street lights that don’t work, they just want houses built to sell. Surely you as a local authority have a duty of care to your residents and a responsibility to force the developer to fix these problems in a timely fashion. You obviously have contact details for somebody within the developers organisation, maybe you should publish their number so we as residents can contact them as this is clearly an issue that’s low on your priority list.

Our Senior Engineer and Site Inspector had a site meeting with the developer last week and chased up the street lights with them. Our Site Inspector will monitor this and chase up the developer if needed. If you would like to report this to Taylor Wimpey yourself, you can do this via the following email address - OxfordshireCustomerServices@taylorwimpey.com. They can then track and efficiently respond to you.
