I am living in 9A Crownlane, Crownprade. In our parking the Tanning shop people are parking all the time it so annyoing as it is our private driveway parking. I tell them politely but they not listen to me also they are challenging me that if i complain in the council nothing going to happened.
The Traffic Management Act 2004 allows enforcement action to be carried out when a vehicle is parked adjacent to a dropped footway. This covers any dropped footway including those, which allow vehicles to cross the footway and those which assist pedestrians crossing a road.
I understand how inconvenient this situation can be, however the enforcement of driveways can only be carried out on each occasion that a complaint is received from the owner of the premises and the details are given for the vehicle causing the obstruction.
A Penalty Charge Notice can then be issued to the offending vehicles by the Civil Enforcement Officer who attends the location of the complaint at the time of the offence, this may also result to a subsequent removal of the contravening vehicle.
Should you require enforcement please contact the Council's parking contractor NSL Services Ltd directly on 0208 443 0602. regards Parking Services
