Autumnal Leaves

Reported in the Pavements/footpaths category by G Taylor at 20:07, Tue 4 December 2018

Sent to Halton Borough Council 3 minutes later

From the bus stop Windmill Hill Centre (busway) down to Windmill Hill Estate there is a path which is full of soggy leaves.

The path is the only route to the shop, the pub, the chemist and the school.

Not only is it extensively used but is on a steep gradient.

I would be grateful if you could arrange for it to be swept before the frost arrives as it becomes dangerous.

Regards. G. T

  • Seems the only things that work here is the council pension collection service, sorry the council tax collection and the bin emptying, even the rubbish and litter at the end of the path has been there since the end of summer last year. took 14 months to get a light fixed. We are paying a thousand quid a year to have a bin emptied. Disgraceful!

  • 6 months on! Well, they cleaned the leaves off the bus stop area but left them down the path and the litter is SILL at the bottom of that path. It may help if they repaired the broken litter bin.

This is a very busy path (adopted by the council) yet they seem oblivious to the fact that we are all slipping an sliding as it is a rather steep gradient. I sometimes think the person responsible J.U. is just marking time till retirement.

  • Nearly autumn again an HBC never did clean the path. The picture above shows what has happened. We are all being"nettled" because of our council lack of a duty of care. This a very busy path. We all walk in the bus way now.
