Restricted access to public road
Reported anonymously at 15:39, Tue 4 December 2018
Sent to Torridge District Council 1 minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 1477782.
At the junction of Bowden Green and Buckland Rd (EX39 5EU) the poor road layout has created a pinch point where residents park their vehicles. Over the years vehicles have got wider and although the residents are parking on an unrestricted road, service vehicles are no longer able to turn into and access Buckland Rd. Access from the Littleham end of Buckland Rd is height/width restricted by a narrow low bridge. There are residential and commercial properties, farms and allotments that are practically cut off to anything larger than a courier van and at times when residents frequently park immediately on the junction, longer vehicles cannot swing into the road. It's only a matter of time before an emergency between this junction and the low bridge occurs with potentially catastrophic results.
