BLOCKED STREET DRAINS = Bus stop flood!

Reported in the Bus stops category by Hilde Morris at 18:17, Mon 3 December 2018

Sent to West Sussex County Council 2 minutes later

Two drains on the corner Queen's Place and Buckingham road, both in front of a busy bus stop, are blocked. so every time it rains a large, long puddle forms just where the bus stops, causing a TSUNAMI wave to wash over the pavement. I went past on Saturday evening and after all the heavy rain we have had the puddle stretch the WHOLE length of the BUS street marking, so 30 metres? and reached almost half way across the road. I have poked long sticks down both drains and it will not take much to move the blockage. THIS IS JUST NOT ACCEPTABLE. please suck these drains clear.

Updates

  • Not sure, seen no-one clear the drains and it has not rained for a while. I will keep an eye on it!
