Temporary traffic sign "DANGER LORRIES TURNING" ?redundant

Temporary road traffic sign "DANGER LORRIES TURNING", seen when driving from Rownhams direction, appears to be serving no useful purpose. It isn't clear where the lorries might have been turning. I live in this area and use the road regularly - I have yet to see a lorry turning! Approaching from the North Baddesley direction the sign has been thrown in the grass and left that way for a considerable time. The signs need to either be positioned where they mean something or removed completely.
