Street lights not working Manorsfield Road Bicester
Reported in the Street lighting category anonymously at 17:27, Thu 1 November 2018
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 3 minutes later
A number of street lights are not working along Manorsfield Road - there are no numbers on the lampposts but all are on the opposite side of the road to Pioneer Square..
Thank you for bringing this to our attention, unfortunately the unit(s) you are referring to are not owned or maintained by Oxfordshire County Council, these are private lights that would be the responsibility of the developer/landowner whom you would need to contact direct.
Unfortunately we do not keep records of private units. Please accept our apologies as we cannot assist any further on this occasion.
State changed to: not the council's responsibility

The lights are on a public highway. They are not part of the Pioneer Square Development they are on the opposite side of Manorsfield Road. If they are not the responsibility of OCC - who is responsible for their maintenance, I don't think these lights would be the responsibility of Pioneer Square?

23/11/18 - lights still not working. These lights do appear to be the responsibility of OCC and have not been working for some time. Lights 1,3,5,7,8 in nearby B4100 st Johns street also remain out of action.

4/12/18 - no update. How is a member of the public supposed to find out who owns street lights on a public highway? All of the lights remain out of action.
