Caravan dumped in layby on A425
Reported in the Abandoned vehicles category anonymously at 20:08, Tue 30 October 2018
Sent to Warwick District Council and Warwickshire County Council 1 minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 1449855.
A caravan has been dumped in the layby to the left of the slight hill heading towards Radford Semele. There is a hand written note on the front window to effect there is a problem with the tow hitch, but the van has been there over 2 weeks now. and there are steps by the door & I suspect it is being lived in. A worrying thing is that a 'POLICE DO NOT CROSS' tape is attached to the front of the van and the rear number plate is actually made up of 2 separate plates in a way has to make it illegible.

As this is not a car it does not come under the 'Car Clear Service' however it can still be removed under DVLA devolved powers. Therefore please call the local District or Borough Council and ask for their Street Scene or Contact Services Department. In this instance it would be Warwick District Council.

The problem has not been fixed, the caravan is still parked up and steps can on occasions be seen at the door. It has been there now for 4 weeks I would estimate and there is no sign of it being moved by the police, who appear to have affixed tape to the van. The illegal untraceable registration number is still affixed to the rear.

Still there a month later, it now appears to be permanent.

No sign of it moving. looking at the amount of litter around it I would think it's occupied.

The caravan certainly has not moved in close to 3 months and it is certainly being used as a place of residence. Was it a coincidence that Radford Road street lights were out of action due to a wiring / cable fault all last week?

I would appear that it is now a place of permanent residency.
