Driving over pedestrian footpath.

Reported in the Pavements/footpaths category anonymously at 21:32, Sat 27 October 2018 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Hertfordshire County Council 3 minutes later

"If you intend to drive a vehicle over the footway into your driveway off a highway, then you will need a dropped kerb. If you do not have dropped kerb, you must not drive over the footway. If you do so, you are breaking the law and enforcement action could be taken to prevent such practice".

Why is it that no 34 The Oundle regularly park two or more vehicles on an illegal driveway? One that happens to be opposite a parking bay? Why are there no restriction orders for vehicles that are regularly causing an obstruction by reversing on and off the public highway/footpath?

Stevenage Borough Council should be enforcing the law.. Especially when driveways in The Oundle have been refused to neighbouring residents!
