Street light in alley between Scott Close and Marlborough Way
Reported in the Street lighting category anonymously at 12:13, Mon 8 October 2018
Sent to Leicestershire County Council 2 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1432159.
Street light is not working. The street light is in the "dog-leg" of the path, where no other light can shine. The dog leg itself causes a serious hazard in the dark, as you can't see the change in fence line and risk walking into the fence as it changes course. I reported this issue last winter on Leicestershire Council's website, however didn't receive a response and it never got fixed. Now we have dark evenings, this alley way is an accident or incident waiting to happen, needs urgent resolution.

The Leicestershire Highways stated it was not one of there street lights and referred my to the Council. I received a response from them - "Unfortunately, we can only identify Leicestershire County Council land and assets. Therefore we would advise you contact your District and Parish council to see if they are responsible for the lamp in question. In some cases street assets remain the responsibility of the original developers."

Harborough council have stated it is not one of their street lights and suggested it maybe a local parish assesst. I have phoned the council explaining this, but heard nothing back.
