Ongoing Ennerdale Hse refuse neglect

Reported in the Flytipping category by Mile End Residents at 21:31, Sun 14 November 2010

Sent to Tower Hamlets Borough Council 4 minutes later

Finally after a week end of insufficient service re refuse the 3 bins (for 90 flats - full on Friday) - get emptied this afternoon. Note they are recycle bins - no provision for general waste standard plastic refuse bags - hence the contamination of recycle bins. Should we assume the gathering up of the bits polystyrene would have presented a H & S issue to the operatives?

Updates

  • The situation has improved re collection of recyclable waste and tidiness in the area but still no provision of refuse bins for domestic "black bags" resulting in residents having no reasonable alternative resulting in contamination of recycle bins. See yellow stickers in photo
