Builder left hole in footpath and gravel on footpath

Reported in the Pavements/footpaths category anonymously at 20:11, Tue 2 October 2018

Sent to Cheshire East Council 4 minutes later

The developer of the site opposite the old Red Lion Pub and at the top of Cumberland Drive, Bollington, has left the footpath in Cumberland Drive in a dangerous condition. Two metres of wall was demolished and a hole dug that was made in the footpath has been left unguarded making it a trip hazard. The vehicle entrance is strewn with gravel making it a slip hazard. About 25 metres of historic dry stone was demolished on High St and removed from the site. Where is the stone now? The new safety fencing is inadequate as it enables children to play on the site. This situation has existed for more than a year and is a danger to residents and walkers visiting the area.

Updates

  • I have found out that the company who owned the site on High St/ Cumberland Drive are in receivership so I have emailed all of the above to them. I believe that they should take action. They are Moorfields Insolvency Practitioners.
