Exposed drain cover on northbound carriageway
Reported in the Carriageway Defect category anonymously at 12:52, Mon 1 October 2018

Hi there, The tarmac surrounding the drainage cover right next to the exit of the Nuffield Fitness facility on the northbound carriageway of Woodstock road has worn away, exposing the bare metal of all 4 sides of the drainage cover. I believe a significant puncture waiting to happen. To avoid it when exiting the gym you have to veer into the oncoming traffic. Please can you review thank you
Thank you for your report, I can advise that an inspector has been out to this location and defect tickets have been raised for the work to be complete within 28 days.

**URGENT** The road surface has degraded again, leaving the edges of the metal cover exposed. The hole is quite deep and mostly hidden when wet, and a person on a bike, if they rode through this defect, would likely loose balance and fall.

Agree - this needs fixing asap - see view from helmet camera to give an idea of how it sits exactly where I'd expect to be cycling... dangerous for cyclists!

Could you please get your works people to spray around all the potholes in the Woodstock Road, when they do their reports as it would make it safer, whilst waiting for potholes to be filled in. This one is a danger to everyone using the road! Thank you
