North side Hampden Road Pavement
Reported in the Footpath / pavement problem category anonymously at 11:17, Fri 28 September 2018 using FixMyStreet Pro
Sent to Buckinghamshire Council 2 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1424643.
I reported the failed condition of the pavement on the north side of Hampdenn Road a couple of months ago. Repairs were carried out this week to selective small sections. The repairs did not address the needs along the route which is a route to school and contains many trip hazards. The repairs done are extremely poor quality using inappropriate grade macadam for a wearing course. Sections were not cut in and sealed and consequently the repairs are porous and will not last a winter. This is a wasteful use of funds. The repairs are amateurish and I am sure if inspected by a suitably qualified inspector will not be accepted for payment. I would be grateful if you can attend to the needs of this street with a more comprehensive and longer term solution. Ideally, while I understand limitations on funding, the north side footway requires cutting back and full top dressing to provide an appropriate long term and cost effective repair. Failing funds for this proper repair, a more comprehensive targeted and professional quality repair is required as a minimum.
