Bin raiders have trashed communal alley

Reported via Android in the Rubbish (refuse and recycling) category anonymously at 10:19, Tue 18 September 2018

Sent to Hull City Council 1 minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 1415471.

The communal alley connecting 30 Blaydes Street and the terraces of 32, 34 possibly 36 had been totally trashed by bin raiders.

I caught them dragging bin bags in from bins (it's bin day) and emptying out contents into the alley and surrounding area.

I asked what they were doing and a young woman who was very skinny said she was homeless and just looking for food or what ever.

The door to the alley had been removed as it used to be locked.

By all accounts, three land lord of 30 Blaydes is not into maintaining their property, which is let out either according to public reviews on the following site

We need help from the council down here as the mess is too much to clear with domestic brush and shovel. We don't have the necessary equipment and rubbish is blowing out onto the street looking a right state. I'm a homeowner nearby and my partner cleared the rubbish last night down here and I again today as it just blows out!

Please help! We need a bring out your rubbish day. Haven't had one in a couple of years down here.

  • Have you tried contacting the local councillors? They are fabulous and can be reached by email or Facebook. You could also try Hull Stars at the University direct to help liaise with the landlords. (Also, wanted to reassure you that you are not alone in wanting to protect our area).
