There are two manhole covers opposite Keble College just N of the turning into the Physics Dept. They are located in the gravel area next to the cycle and pedestrian path. They are both prominent and after dark the area is not well lit. I tripped, fell and managed to receive an injury requiring A&E attendance. I'm not sure how long it has been like this. It would be great if lighting could be improved or the ground levelled here.
Thank you for your enquiry. This has now been investigated and the manholes have been found to be the responsibility of the utility companies. One of the manholes is Thames Water's responsibility, we have reported this to them on reference: 80921712534, they have given a 2 hour attendance time. If you would like to contact Thames Water directly, please call them on 0800 009 3961. The second manhole cover has been found to be the responsibility of SSEN, we have reported this to them on reference: ET3342, they have given a 24 hour attendance time. If you would like to contact SSEN directly, please call them on 0800 072 7282.
